We offer Bus and Coach Technician - Mech/Elec (Mechanical and Electrical engineering combined) Level 3 and Vehicle Technician Level 3 (Body Repair).
- How long is the apprenticeship?View vacancies
The course takes 3-years to complete, with the final year focused on giving you the hands-on skills and experience to be ready for a full-time Engineer role.
- What is involved in the apprenticeship?View vacancies
You will spend 80% of your time gaining hands-on, practical experience in one of our depots. A highly skilled & qualified technician will be your dedicated mentor on hand to coach and guide you in the workplace.
Alongside this you will be working towards an industry-recognised professional qualification with the support of a development coach from our training provider, GTG. They will be on hand to support with your learning and making sure you are on track.

Arriva want to continuously invest in their colleagues and on successful completion of the apprenticeship, we would intend on offering you a full-time position. With the right development, skills and knowledge you could progress into a range of more senior roles such as Engineering Team Leader, Manager or Master Technician. Many of our Engineering Management Team are former apprentices!
